1. Contact Ebee honey about photographs
2. Shoot references for intro tryptch
3. Begin figuring out how to do cross sections

Week:
1. Move into my new apartment
2. Build IKEA furniture in apartment

Lets see how many I can cross off by friday, all goals must start small!

Food for thought....

I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before but the larger, zoomed in squares will not actually be a part of the print. I will be printing them separately and mounting them on the final print to add more depth.

Ideally I think vinyl adhesive would work best and then use some kind of shellac, perhaps to give it a nice glossy look? After I have adhered the larger image I will do the same process with the smaller images and mount them with screws coming through the back.

If this sounds confusing I will try and post a diagram later.

New Images

While I may not have been in class this week, I was able to accomplish a lot(I felt like). I made a fresh batch of blood ( not real of course ) and was able to shoot a new GMO shot with some new models other than myself.

So far... Still have work to do on both but I plan to have even more images with a week or two. I'm a little behind schedule but I don't foresee that being a problem.

Nearly There

In this update you will noticed I have increased magnification of parts of interest to the viewer. I want to ultimately print the magnifications separately and attach them to a final print to add more interest and overall aesthetic quality.

So I added some technical/viral like entities to the background of the portrait, hoping it will bring that underlying evil forth without being too forward. I am still debating on whether I should add a grunge/distressed-like environment and to what extent.

In the second image I chose to take away the tech tattoo like object because it was difficult to see and may not be recognizable to all viewers.

Progress!!!

So in our last crit we talked about how my fruits didn't seem vary vicious or scary. So I thought I would take it a step further as if the fruits and/or vegetables were making us do things or "acts" in this case that we would not normally do.

I want to do this using dyptchs where the first would be a portrait of how the organism took control and then the act it made a person commit.

Warming Up..

So I have been able to find an abundant source of broken down computer scraps courtesy of Armodyne Computer Solutions. Most of my time has been spent breaking down the parts and engineering unique ways to photograph them.

However. *Speed Bump*
The batteries in my Canon SLR are dead and should be done charging this afternoon. In the mean time I was stuck with the 5.0 mgpx camera on my droid. Not my idea of good start. But it is a start.
